The Cardinals Trades

The St. Louis Cardinals have been a dominant team in the MLB for many years, drafting big-name players and forming them into hall of fame athletes. Players such as Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols, Matt Carpenter, have all been key players for the team in the past decade and there's a very good chance that you will be seeing these players in the hall of fame one day. Over the past couple of weeks, they have been trying to pull off what would be impossible for most organizations. They have already traded away Jose Martinez who was a big playmaker when it came to clutch situations. They traded him for some pitchers from the Tampa Bay Rays. Even though that is great for the organization what else can they pull off?

The Cardinals Trading Prospects

The Cardinals are trying their best to acquire a big-name All-Star player, Nolan Arenado. They are in talks with the Colorado Rockies to try and get him. They are willing to trade away outfielder Harrison Bader and some draft picks for him, which is really good if the Rockies agree to it. I personally don't want them too because Harrison Bader is my favorite Cardinal by far and I wanted to see what he could do for the Carindlas in the upcoming season. If the Cardinals did somehow find a way to get him the Cardinals would easily have one of the best line ups in the MLB.

If the Cardinals do get Arenado

If the Cardinals could land Arenado, this is what the lineup would look like for the squad...

  1. Matt Carpenter RF

  2. Paul Dejong SS

  3. Nolan Arenado 3B

  4. Paul Goldschmidt 1B

  5. Marcell Ozuna LF

  6. Yadier Molina C

  7. Kolten Wong 2B

  8. Dexter Fowler CF

  9. Jack Flaherty P

That line up is by far the best in the MLB, it's literally so good that they would have to have Matt Carpenter who has been the team's best average hitter move to the outfield because every other position he plays is already so dominate.

The Cardinals in the Upcoming Year

The Cardinals, in my opinion, had an off-year this year. They didn't play their best baseball and literally just could not hit the ball all season. Despite their poor offensive performance they still managed to make it all the way to the National League Championship, which is basically the MLB semi-finals. They had outstanding pitching from Jack Flaherty who is planning to repeat that performance, but they really had no good pitchers after him, which is why we already traded Jose Martinez for more pitching, because our closer, Jordan Hicks got hurt and will be out for the first half of the season this year, and Carlos Martinez sucks at pitching. All the guy does is blow baseball games. It's just very impressive that even though they had an off-season, they still made it to the semi-finals. So, this year if the Cardinals can get Arenado, they will win the world series.

In Conclusion...

In conclusion, the St. Louis Cardinals would be a great organization for Nolan Arenado to play in. He would fit in and help lead the Cardinals to a World Series Championship. The Cardinals play in arguably the toughest conference in the MLB, the NL Central, but I think they can fight through the Cubs and the early favorite Reds to win the conference and eventually make it to the MLB World Series, but it all starts with the Cardinals acquiring Nolan Arenado.
