The Cardinals are Choking... BAD

So my last blog post was talking about how proud I was of the cardinals to move on to the World Series Semifinals!! We ya, this one is going to be pretty much the opposite. The Cardinals are sucking real bad right now. I don't know how but they should be playing the Los Angeles Dodger right now, who had the best record out of everyone in the league coming into the post season, but somehow the Washington Nationals beat them. So, obviously as a Cardinals fan, I'm like "let's go first we score the most runs ever in the post season game and now we have an easier team to beat to make it to the World Series, this is awesome!" Well the Cardinals were obviously were thinking the same thing because they just walk out there and think they're so good and can just do whatever they want and just expect to win a game, but that's not the case at all.
The Cardinals came out their first game and they lost. No big deal right? FALSE, it's a big deal because once the Cardinals start losing, they are a team that likes to continue to lose. They have lost the last 3 games of the series and if they lose one more their season is over. I was at the game on Saturday, their defense the game I went to was very good, but my goodness was their offense just god awful. They didn't even get a hit until the seventh inning. Like what professional organization can make it all the way to the semifinals and not even get a hit off one of the older pitchers in the league. That's just flat out embarrassing.
What's Going to Happen to the Cardinals?
They are done. I am a die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and I even believe that they are not going to be able to win this series. They are a team that likes to pull a lot of miracles, but i don't think any team has come back from a 3-0 deficit and won the series. Their season is going to sadly come to an end soon, I say they win this game tonight but nothing more than that.
What can the Cardinals do?
All the Cardinals can do is have fun with the rest of their season, it's coming to an end so they just need to ride it out. If you would've asked me this after the first game I would've said GET DEXTER FOWLER OUT OF THE LINEUP!! That guy sucks at baseball. He can't hit the ball to save his life and he's only there for his defense. What they need to do is take him out and put in Harrison Bader. I know he's not amazing at hitting either but at least he's better defensively in my opinion.
Were just gonna have to sit here and wait and see what happens the rest of the season but I am sad to say that I think this will be my last blog post about the St. Louis Cardinals season for the year
I loved the post, Jackson! I am not the biggest follower of baseball but your team losing a series 0-4 sucks and isn't a pleasant sight. I loved your passion for Dexter and how you hate him so much. There is always next year and maybe Dexter will not be in the line up them 😂😂.
Good post Jackson! I don't follow the Cardinals as closely or passionately as you do, so it was really interesting to see this team through your perspective. I am sorry they blew their chances at continuing their season I can tell you are really upset by it, but there is always next year!
